Located less than 3 kilometers from the house, the Chalucet castle is easily accessible, open visits all year round are free and the site has a tourist circuit (interpretive trail) ans explanatory panels (possible to guided tour)

Located 9 km from the house, the Parc & Zoo du Reynou has 100 hectares dedicated to 600 animals of 130 different species from 5 continents, within a park that is home to more than 120 plant species.

Solignac Abbey

The Solignac abbey church dates from the beginning of the 12th century, it is among the oldest and most remarkable Limousin churches.

Château de la Borie

12 kilometers from the house in the town of Solignac, the Château de la Borie estate combines historical heritage with contemporary art and landscape. Visit of the gardens and/or the contemporary art gallery.

Oradour sur Glane

The martyr village of Oradour Sur Glane is known around the world for bearing the traces of the massacre of its population by a unit of the Waffen SS on June10, 1944.

Free and free access to the Village Martyr via the entrance hall of the memory center.

Sirque de Nexon

Every year in August, the heart of the city beats to the rhythm of the “la route du Sirque Festival”, which offers modern circus acts where jugglers and acrobats engage in poetic numbers.

Don’t look for lions and other traditional clowns, you won’t find them. On the other hand, emotions, laughter and poetry are part of it.

The rest of the year, shows are offered with the possible purchase of tickets online.

Château de Lastours Animation

Located 23 kilometers from the house, a center of Limousin history and a powerful castle in the Middle Ages, today the castle is a place of visits and entertainment whose reputation has long since exceeded the borders of the department.

A good reason to try the experience of the medieval camps at the back of the castle, animated night visits with characters in coustumes leading the spectators to discover the fortress and its history, in the light of the torches or evenof the great medieval festival (july/August).

A few steps away, take a break at the medieval inpired garden of the year 1000, with free access all year round. (guided tour : the relationship between pollinating insects and flowers with honey tasting).

et le jardin des Sens

Nexon Castle is one of the must see sites, due to its rich history and traces of its equestrian past.

Built in the 17th century, it remained the property of the Gay de Nexon family until 1983, when the municipality acquired it.

The park and the surroundings of the castle are freely accessible all year round. Take advantage of your visit to test the orienteering course or the Terrà Aventure circuit. Map of the park available free of charge at the Tourist Office.

Located at the end of the Park of the castle, the garden of the senses, exalts all the senses. It is freely accessible all year round.

  • Vicq Sur Breuilh : from 6p.m every 15 days from June 24
  • Nexon : from 6 p.m, twice a month during July/August (contact the Pays de Nexon – Monts de Châlus Tourist Office)
